A man has appeared in court charged with murder after a woman was found dead in a flat in Aberdeen .

The woman’s body was found at the property in the city’s Union Terrace on Friday afternoon.

Police Scotland said it is strongly believed to be 37-year-old Nigerian born Jessica McGraa, from London, but formal identification is yet to take place.

Bala Wadzani Chinda, 25, from Aberdeen, made no plea or declaration when he appeared at the city’s sheriff court charged with murder and theft.

He was remanded in custody ahead of a further expected court appearance next week and the case was committed for further examination.

Detective Superintendent David McLaren is appealing for anyone who saw or spoke to Ms McGraa in the days before her death to contact the force.

He said: “In particular, I am appealing for anyone who was in Jessica’s company or who spoke to her on Tuesday 9, Wednesday 10, Thursday 11 or Friday 12 February to come forward as a matter of urgency. Piecing together the events leading up to her body being discovered on Friday afternoon is crucial to our investigation.

“Jessica is also believed to have sometimes used the name Bianca so this may be a name that people are more familiar with.

The mum charged up to £220-an-hour as she offered punters the “ultimate girlfriend experience” in cities across the UK.

Nigeria-born Jessica also used aliases including ‘Ebony Bianca’ and ‘Kelly West’ on escorts sites such as Adult Work.

She described herself as “classic, stylish, naughty, horny, sexy” and took bookings from men, women and couples.

Topless photos on her profile page had her face blurred out.

She wrote: “My face is covered to protect myself as I’m ultra discreet.

“I have a regular job and a private life. Do be polite when you call.”

Her site also stated she made stops in Dundee, Edinburgh and Inverness.

Her body was found two days after she last logged on to Adult Work. Her page stated she was “currently on tour” in Aberdeen for two days.
