The  UN/USA accredited Academy  of Universal Global Peace  last weekend conferred Honorary Doctorate Degrees on deserving personalities at the London Westminster University

Among those honoured are 3 eminent Nigerians living in the city.


Former Mayor of Enfield and Midwife Kate Anolue, Property magnate and Real Estate Developer Richard Obahor and Author and Leadership Coach Oluwaseun Oke were all honoured at the ceremony which took place at the institution on Friday 7 July.

Elected mayor of Enfield during the 2012/13 year, Dr Kate Anolue was conferred with an honorary Freedom of the Borough in Enfield in April 2007. This is the highest tribute that can be bestowed upon someone who has rendered eminent services to the community and was awarded in recognition of her services that included being a local councillor for 12 years.

Chief Kate Anolue is the Founder of the Forum for African Women in Politics (FWAP) and former Mayor of the London Borough of Enfield.  She is also Founder & CEO of “TenderCare” a charity which carters for young teenage mothers and fathers, widows and lone women.   During her term as Mayor for the London Borough of Enfield, Kate raised funds for Sickle cell as well as young people leaving care and disabled children. Among her many awards, she is Winner of The Nigerian Watch Newspaper “Woman of the Year 2014” and Nigerian Centenary Award UK 2014.

She was also conferred with “Freedom of the London Borough of Enfield in 2007, for her community work.   Kate was made a Chieftain in her home town in Nigeria where was conferred with the title “Ada Jelu Mba Tulu Ugo”which means “Our daughter who went to a foreign land and brought us glory”.  Kate holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) and is a qualified midwife.

In May 2016, Chief Kate received the prestigious Women4Africa Recognition award.

Pastor Oluwasheun Oke is the minister-in-charge of Sheun Oke ministries and the award winning author of   “Supergirl2Superwoman“, and “The Rise of The Kingdom Marketer” A John Maxwell certified coach, trainer and speaker,  she was awarded a honorary PhD in Global Leadership, awarded in recognition of her relentless work in raising the next generation of female leaders.

A frequent speaker at business events, non-profit organizations, TV and on the radio, she has been featured in both local and international newspapers such as The Guardian  She has a first degree in Agricultural economics & extension (Bsc)  and an MBA (marketing management), She is also a certified project & risk manager.

Dr Seun is the CEO of Loquats Consulting LLC – a Leaders in leadership/ sales & marketing/ business process change training, coaching and Publishing outfit, and the founder of Walk-like-a-Princess CIC– an organization with the mission to raise the female economists of nations through the use of empowerment programs, seminars and trainings. She is a serial-preneur, passionate about spreading the word on ‘Health and Wellness.

Dr Richard Ejiro-Obahor is the CEO of London based investment company Purple Premium Limited. He is a top Property and Real Estate Guru, Speaker and Leadership Trainer who has received several recognition awards for his work. Last June, he was awarded the City People (Lagos) Diasporan Estate Development Award and in 2016, the BEFFTA Leadership Award. In the same year, he was also awarded the Gathering of Africa’s Best (GAB) Award for Excellence in Leadership.

Richard’s  company now develops quality luxury homes such as can be found in the new Woodbury Estate, a collection of luxurious apartment units in the high brow Lekki area of Lagos. His philosophy is that if you would dream anyway, you might as well dream big and his vision is to build 2022 homes right across Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone and Kenya by the year 2022, to house Africans living in the Diaspora.

Richard is a very firm believer in community development and under his corporate social responsibilities, supports numerous community programmes right across Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
