The 2015 MOBO Awards were held at Leeds Arena on Wednesday. Topping the winners list were Krept & Konan who won Best Hip-Hop Act AND Best Album, Fuse ODG with Best African Act  ‘Crazy’ singer CeeLo Green collected an Outstanding Achievement Award, but comedian Sir Lenny Henry got the biggest reception on the night when he accepted his Paving The Way prize.

The comic had the audience on its feet during his speech as he said he “could only have got here from standing on the shoulders of giants” and went on to name-check famous faces from Bob Marley to Michael Jackson and “that bloke from the Halifax advert”.

All the Afrobeat stars that were nominated lost out to UK based FuseOGD, pioneer of the This is New Africa (Tina) movement and previous winner of best African act at the Mobos in 2014, for the African Act Award

Highlight of the evening was the lve performance by FKA Twigs  performing her ‘M3LL155X’ tracks ‘Figure 8’ and ‘In Time’.
