BRITISH-NIGERIAN STAR WARS ACTOR FEATURED ON BRITISH POSTAGE STAMP

Royal Mail Post Office is releasing a set of stamps to celebrate the release of the latest Star Wars Movie.

British- Nigerian actor John Boyega, who stars in the latest movie is one of the actors and characters of the franchise to be featured on the set of 18 1st class stamps which go on sale in October to coincide with the movie release.

Other characters featured on the stamps include characters Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Darth Vader, Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Emperor, Boba Fett and a storm trooper are included on the stamps, as well as new characters Rey, Finn and Kylo Ren.

According to sources at Royal Mail, the stamps are to celebrate the British expertise behind the Star Wars films as each episode was made with a largely British cast and crew. The new film Star Wars: The Force Awakens was predominately shot at Pinewood Studios, Buckinghamshire

The Star Wars series began in 1977. So far, there have been two trilogies of movies that have included major British involvement at UK studios.
