The head of service of the federation Danladi Kifasi has been directed to proceed on terminal leave.
The order which came directly from President Buhari is to take effect immediately.
No replacement has been announced and no immediate reason has been given for the sudden order.
A letter signed by the SGF asked Kifasi to proceed on terminal leave starting from today. A replacement will be unveiled later in the week according to presidency sources.
Kifasi was Director of Finance and Accounts, Ministry of Power before his appointment as Permanent Secretary Federal Ministry of Youth Development, later moved to Ministries of Aviation and Finance in 2010 and served as Member, Board of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
Born on January 1, 1956, Mr. Kifasi was a member of the Board of the Nigerian National Petroleum
Corporation, NNPC; a non-Executive Director of the Asset Management Company of Nigeria, AMCON and an Alternate Governor of Islamic Development Bank.
An indigene of Taraba State, Mr. Kifasi, a chartered accountant and lawyer, was one of three Permanent Secretaries from the country’s North-East geo-political zone shortlisted to succeed Bukar Aji, who is set to retire from service next Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Ogun State Governor Senator Ibikunle Amosun announced the immdiate appointment of the State’s new Head of Service – MrAbraham Olusola Adeyemi
Adeyemi who was until his latest appointment, the Permanent Secretary at the Civil Service Commission, is a member of the National Institute (mni). He joined the State Civil Service as an Administrative Officer in January, 1982. He rose through the ranks and was appointed a Permanent Secretary in June, 2005.
According to a press statement signed by the Secretary to the state government, Taiwo Adeoluwa, the new Head of Service holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in History from the University of Ibadan in 1980. He attended the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru in 2008 where he served as Rapporteur for Study Group Two of the Senior Executive Course 30. He equally attended a top management course at the Manchester University Business School, United Kingdom in 2013.
An Elder of the Apostolic Church , 58-year old Adeyemi hails from Yewa North Local Government Area of the State and is happily married.
