Several Nigerians were named in the first ever edition of the Black Enterprise (BE) Mogul Entrepreneurs Awards in London on Thursday
Founded by the CEO Of Rich Visions Mavis Amankwah, a London based PR Executive and one of the most influential Black Women in the Capital, the BE Mogul recognises the most influential and inspirational Black business owners in Britain today.
Speaking at the Awards Presentation held at the highlight prestigious RBS Building at Bishopsgate, Mavis said “The idea of creating BE Mogul was to highlight and acknowledge the movers and shakers in Britain’s black business community and to shout about them where possible”
There are not many platforms to portray positive black business role models and entrepreneurs who may have or may have not been recognised by the mainstream business arena or media.
Yesterday’s event was sponsored and supported by NatWest bank. In his speech in the BE Mogul guide, Natwest Enterprise Director Daniel Thompson said ” Entrepreneurs are the lifeblood of the UK Economy and Natwest is delighted to have the opportunity to partner with BE Mogul to celebrate the important contributions made by the black industry”
