The Nigerian Schools Sports and Family Fun day is round the corner.
Organised by NSSFF in conjunction with LEBARA Mobile, the fun day, now in its fourth year, is tagged the “great alternative to the Notting Hill Carnival”. This is because of the wholesome family atmosphere of the fun day – unlike the carnival where drugs and alcohol are always freely on show and violence is always a threat.
According to the organisers, the Fun Day is a place you can bring the entire family to for a full day of fun, sports, games, music, live entertainment and socialising.
Past events have seen up to 1,000 people attending and taking part in the various activities and events on the day. UK based Alumni bodies and groups of Nigerian schools participate in sporting activities and all kinds of track and field events such as relay races, tennis, football with the Prestigious Principal’s Cup up for grabs.
Many local and international business and organisations will also be exhibiting and showcasing their goods and services at the event so this will be an excellent event for business networking.
Major Nigerian schools such as CMS, Regan, MG, QC from Lagos and Comprehensive High School Aiyetoro and many others have previously participated in the sports day but the organisers are inviting more schools from all over Nigeria to register and be a part of this great event. Last year’s edition won the Best Nigerian Event at the Nigerian Events Awards UK 2015.
The event will be holding at the Norman Parks Athletics track, Norman Park. Bromley London. BR2 9EJ on Saturday the 29th of August with admission at just £1 per person. Food, drinks and various refreshments will be available for sale, in abundance.
