The office of the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS), at the Good Shepherd House in Alausa,was gutted by fire this morning Monday afternon.

It was gathered that the third floor which houses office of the Director of Administration was mostly affected.

Men of the Lagos State Fire Service which is a stone throw to the tax office were prompt in responding to the distress call and ere able to contain the fire

The degree of the damage is yet to be ascertained, but the fire was put out about 30 minutes after it started.
