Nigerian born pugilist Larry Ekundayo will this evening in a long awaited and much publicized fight face his opponent Joseph Lamptey of Ghana for the African Boxing Union Welter Weight title.
Larry who is considered the firm favourite of the duo,was earlier involved in a fracas at the pre match weigh in with his Ghanaian opponent who had snatched the Nigerian flag off Larry’s hands and threw it on the floor in a fit of tantrum that his own national flag hadn’t been provided.
In response to the action which is tantamount to a show of disrespect to the nation and which has drawn widespread indignation from Nigerians world wide, Larry vowed to “beat him silly ”
