The Music of Black Origin Awards have released this year’s list of Best Afrcan act nominees.

The MOBOS, as the awards are popularly known, have in recent years faced great criticism for featuring mostly white acts and artists both as performers at the event as well as awards winners.

Many of the Black and African artists that were nominated last year left empty handed while white Brit acts like Ed Sheeran left with multiple awards.

On the nominees list for the Best African Act are this year are:
