A man has appeared at Manchester Magistrates Court on Tuesday 23 February 2016. He had been charged with murder.

Adebanjo Adegboye, 20, of Jameson Close, Cheetham Hill was arrested and remanded into custody following a stabbing of  man believed to be his father or uncle.

Police were called by paramedics to a house on Jameson Close, off Fairy Lane in Cheetham Hill, on Sunday afternoon following reports that a man had been stabbed.

Officers attended and found that a 58-year-old man named as Henry Adegboye, had been fatally injured. He sadly died at the address a short time later.

A Home Office post-mortem examination confirmed that the man died from stab wounds.
