According to a former classmate Dr. Emmanuel Fashakin, the President/Medical Director at Abbydek Family Medical Practice,  the fire was thought to have originated from an electrical malfunction, and the flame ravaged the entire property even though there were smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
Professor Kehinde worked in the School of Medicine, Nazarbayev University, from June 2016. He was an experienced researcher and consultant in the field of urologic surgery with significant administrative experience. His wife Dr Olufunmilayo worked as a Gynaecologist and Obstetrician Consultant with  Sandwell and Birmingham NHS Hospital trust.
He was aged 64.
Fashakin while expressing grief on social media wrote:
“OBITUARY: PROF ELIJAH OLADUNNI KEHINDE
With a heavy heart I regret to announce the death of my friend, classmate, Christian brother, and Urological Surgeon, Professor Elijah Oladunni Kehinde, together with his wife and two children, aged 17 years and 8 years, at 5 am Friday July 14, 2017.
He was a good man and accepted the challenge of setting up a top rate Medical School in Kazakhstan, but tragedy struck one year into his tenure.  Ibadan Medicos and alumni of University of UNIVERSITY COLLEGE HOSPITAL, IBADAN and University of Ibadan will miss “Bros K”.
He is survived by two older children, Yemisi and Olaitan. May his soul, and that of his wife, Dr Funmilola Ajibona Kehinde and their deceased children, Mojoyinoluwa and Omolayo rest in peace. Goodnight, Bros K!”

I’ve just discovered “POWER” on netflix and went through the entire 4 season box set in just a week. Absolutely fantastic drama series – kinda like “Empire”, “Being Mary Jane” and “24” all rolled together. Does contain quite a lot of gratuitous graphic sex & violence scenes but it is such a great show – if you can overlook those bits – or press the ⏩button.

Starring ggggorgeous Omari Hardwick & 50 Cents who is brilliantly vile in it
GO AND WATCH IT!!!
