Nominations for the fourth edition of the Nigerian Events Awards UK finally open on Friday.
The NEAUK Awards popularly known as the NEAs were founded in August 2012 by me and my close friend Lady Vanessa Oluwole. We were at another Awards event and got talking bout the hard work being carried out by MCs, DJs and other vendors who work hard behind the scene of major events, weddings and partied – those that rarely get seen and mostly unappreciated. The idea of the NEAs to celebrate and honour these highly skilled and talented men and women was born.
The first edition of the awards held in May 2013 at the London Docklands hotel and now in its fourth year, has become one of the highest anticipated and most prestigious Awards events in the UK/Nigerian community with partipants coming from as far away as Manchester, Leeds, Luton and Birmingham.
Past winners of the NEA include DJ KC (Outstanding DJ 2014), Abi Mega Plus (Outstanding Live Band 2015), DJA Media (Outstanding Events Marketer 2015) PoshnSparkles (Events Decorator 2014) OlaBella (Outstanding Kiddies Entertainer 2013) Olamint Productions (Outstanding Videographer 2014) Wotever Cakes Outstanding Cake Designer 2015) Dele Achiever (Outstanding Live Band 2013) Akpos Ogagbe (Outstanding Comedian 2015)
