Patti Boulaye, the Nigerian actress who starred in the classic movie “Bis Daughter of the River” was yesterday conferred with an OBE (Officer of the Most Excellent Order of The British Empire) at an Investiture ceremony by HRH Prince Charles today at Buckingham Palace.
“What a day at Buckingham Palace! It all finally came together and to God be the glory”, Ms Boulaye said on her Facebook page after the Investiture !
I was ecstatic when they announced the ceremony was to be done by my favourite Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Charles. He was as charming as ever and spent some time chatting with me.
What a wonderful man”! she said as she gushed about her encounter with the Prince. “Patti!” He exclaimed. “How wonderful to see you. We haven’t seen you for a long time. Have you been jetting around the world as usual……..God bless you.” Says HRH Prince Charles to me. Oh-my-goodness!!!!
“God bless your Sir! I replied with all my heart as I took a few steps back curtsied and bowed, shaking with excitement and giggling like a child.
Parri was accompanied to the Palace by her husband Stephen and their two children.
