SIMON COWELL ADVISED MEL B TO LEAVE HER HUSBAND. CALLED HIM “BAD NEWS”

Shortly after Mel B filed for divorce from Stephen Belafonte, a ton of dark allegations were made against him. The information (or the smear campaign, if you’re Stephen Belafonte) makes it sound like Mel B’s marriage was a non-stop 10 years-long carousel of not-right. It’s enough to make you wonder how many people sat her down and drew her a little map leading to a divorce lawyer’s office.

As it turns out, one of the people keeping it real with Mel B was her fellow America’s Got Talent and X Factor judge Simon Cowell.

Sources tell TMZ that Simon knew something was up when Mel B moved out of her house earlier this year, despite her excuses for why she was bruised. Simon allegedly confronted her, telling her that Stephen was both a “bad guy” and “bad news.”

Mel B had left Stephen before, but later went back. Sources say that Mel B credits Simon for giving her the push she needed to leave for good.

In other news about this, TMZ says Stephen is now waging another custody war over Angel Murphy, Mel B’s 10-year-old daughter with Eddie Murphy. Mel B married Stephen two months after Angel was born and he believes he’s been the closest thing to a father she’s had. He’s asking for visitation rights for Angel.

Stephen is alleging that Eddie hasn’t been that present in Angel’s life. In California, where they live, a step-parent can get “reasonable visitation” if it’s in the best interest of the child. Mel B has already requested sole custody of her 5-year-old daughter with Stephen and a source claims she will strongly oppose visitation for Angel.

Experts believe even though Mel B has lawyers working on this, she should really consider getting Simon on board for all future legal dealings with Stephen as he (Simon) could really save Mel B a lot of time and bullshit. He’s already proven he’s got Mel B’s best interests at heart, and he’s an expert at shutting people down. “Stephen darling, I’ll be honest. I’d rather have a seagull pluck every one of my chest hairs out than respond to any more of your silly requests. Literally everything you do is going to get a no from me.”
