Nigerian Man Walked Into Immigration Centre With A Knife And Demanded To Be Deported

An illegal immigrant walked into a London immigration centre with a knife because he wanted to be deported, a court has heard.

Oluwaleke Yisa, a 30-year-old from Nigeria, told an immigration officer ‘I want to leave this f*****g country’ during an appointment at the Home Office’s Becket House, Bermondsey, on 20 August.

A large kitchen knife was then found on him and he told an officer it was ‘to stab people’, Inner London Crown Court heard.

Lawyers have now claimed his alarming behaviour was a desperate attempt to be sent home after spending seven years in London and becoming homeless.

Yisa was today jailed for eight weeks and told to contact the Nigerian embassy while he is in prison.

Describing the events on last month, prosecutor Nicholas Mesure told the court: ‘Mr Yisa left his bag behind as he went through security… nobody bothered to make sure the bag was searched.

‘He went up to the counter and spoke to a member of staff. She asked him some of the standard questions, and he became very irritated and aggressive as the questions progressed.

‘He then said things like “I want to leave this f*****g country”.’

Life Jail Sentences For Teenagers Who Murdered Lewis Blackman Following Confrontation At Birthday Party

Four teenager have been jailed for the murder of Lewis Blackman in February 2017 after a confrontation at a 16th birthday party in Kensington spiralled into a fatal street brawl.

Reporting restrictions were lifted today at court. Those jailed are:

Lawrence Nkunku, 17of Ward Lane, E9 was sentenced to life for murder with a minimum term of 18 years.

Thierry Edusei, 16 of Cannon Road, N17 was found guilty of manslaughter and jailed for 11 years.

Paul Glasgow, 17 of Warwick Grove, E5 was sentenced to life for murder with a minimum term of 18 years.

Demario Williams, 17, of Bath Road, Enfield N9 was sentenced to life for murder with a minimum term of 20 years.

Nkunku, Edusei, and Glasgow were convicted in October 2018. Their sentencings were timed to coincide with the sentencing of Williams.

Two other 18-year-old males [B] and [H] were found not guilty of murder.

The court heard that 19-year-old Lewis, of York Way in Camden, was fatally injured after he and a number of his associates attempted to gain access to a party that they had not been invited to in Kensington.

In the ensuing chaos Lewis, who was known to his friends as ‘Dotty’, was fatally stabbed when he was chased down in the street by a mob armed with weapons.

At around 03:20hrs on Sunday, 18 February two Met officers on patrol were responding to reports of a large number of vehicles in Logan Place, W8, following a nearby party, when they discovered a male suffering from stab injuries laying in the street.

The officers immediately administered first aid to Lewis prior to the arrival of the London Ambulance Service (LAS).

Despite the extensive efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene at 03:46hrs.

A post-mortem examination held on Monday, 19 February discovered that Lewis had suffered 13 stab wounds from various knives. Cause of death was recorded as stab wounds to the chest.

Detectives from the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command immediately began an investigation.

It was established that on the evening prior to Lewis’ death, a girl had rented out a property in Earls Court Road as the venue for her 16th birthday party.

She had drawn up a guest list of around 50 people, careful to invite people she knew from the Hackney area as she was aware of tensions between some of those invited and other males from Camden. The invite however was posted on social media.

The teenager and the majority of her guests were at the party from around 00:40hrs, at which point there were no issues.

Between 02:00hrs and 03:00hrs however, a group of uninvited men, including Lewis, arrived at the property and began trying to get in.

They were refused entry and the front door was closed; one of the guests was heard to say ‘there’s boys outside causing trouble’, at which point the door was forced open and Lewis’ group gained access.

A panic ensued in which many attendees fled the apartment via front door and bedroom in a bid to escape an altercation between Lewis’ group and a number of attendees which then spilled outside onto the street.

Witnesses described seeing a group of around 10 men being chased by a larger group of around 20; members of both parties were reported to have been wearing hooded clothing and to have been armed with weapons, including poles and knives.

Lewis was one of the 111 young people fatally shot or stabbed to death in London in 2018

The 23-year-old was repeatedly stabbed just after 7pm last Wednesday.

Kenneth Umezie, from Southwark, South London, was charged with murder and appeared in custody at Camberwell Green Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

The bearded and heavy-set defendant, wearing a grey custody tracksuit and thick-rimmed black glasses, spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address.

Three other teenage boys, aged 16, 18 and 19, who were arrested as part of this inquiry have been released under investigation.

The attack happened in the same street where 17-year-old Rhyhiem Ainsworth Barton – also a member of the collective – was found with a fatal gunshot wound in May.
The group’s tracks have received hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube.

Drill music link

The group’s tracks have received hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube.

Some featured references to other groups in the capital, including long-running rivals Zone 2 from Peckham.

In one track, Moscow17 told Zone 2 to “check the scoreboard”, while another asked “How you gonna make it even?”.

A Zone 2 lyric in response told their rivals they would “roll up and burst them”

Earlier this year, Metropolitan Police Commissioner Cressida Dick called on social media platforms such as YouTube to take down videos that glamorised violence, and, in an interview with Link Up TV earlier this year, Incognito spoke about the effect of drill music on crime in the capital.

“You see with the crime that’s happening right now, music does influence it. You’ve got to put your hands up and say drill music does influence it,” he said.

In response, the publisher removed hundreds of drill music videos fall their platform including Moscow17’s videos.

Umezie was the boyfriend of a Nigerian woman, a London Underground worker Comfort Yinusa who was jailed for falsely accusing another Nigerian of rape in 2013.

The unnamed man had faced numerous police questioning and was on bail for 5 weeks before Yinusa recanted her statement and admitted her story was false.

Harry Uzoka Was Killed By A Jealous Rival Over A Girl, Court Told

Brit-Nigerian model Harry Uzoka was stabbed to death by a less successful rival in a row over a girl which intensified on Instagram, a court has heard.

The renowned male model, 25, died on the pavement outside his home in Shepherd’s Bush, west London, after he was knifed in the heart.

The Old Bailey was told that he called George Koh, 24, “a fake” on Instagram and arranged a fight after finding out he claimed to have had sex with Mr Uzoka’s model girlfriend, Ruby Campbell.

Their relationship deteriorated after a French model, who had previously been in contact with both men on Instagram, arrived in London in late December last year, the jury was told.

The court was told that to her surprise she learnt that Mr Koh “had something of an obsession” with Mr Uzoka, with whom he apparently no longer spoke to because he had sex with his girlfriend.

Koh: jealous, less successful and obsessed

“Koh then added that Uzoka was a bad man and a liar. And so it seemed that admiration for another model and his success had turned to contempt,” the prosecutor said.

The jury was told a “confrontation” was arranged in Ollgar Road in Shepherd’s Bush following a series of phone calls and messages on WhatsApp and Instagram after Annecetta Lafon told Mr Uzoka of Mr Koh’s claims.

Prosecutor Richard Horwell QC said Mr Koh, along with Merse Dikanda and Jonathan Okigbo, both 24, were in possession of at least three knives, including a machete on January 11.

Mr Uzoka and his flatmate, Adrian Harper, were armed with dumbbell bars, but they fled when they were confronted with knives.

Mr Harper got away, but Mr Uzoka collapsed on the pavement outside his home after being stabbed in the heart.

“It is not difficult to work out which side won. Uzoka and Harper were outnumbered and bars stand little chance against knives,” he said.

Stabbings Are On The Rise As New Figures Show A Surge In Violent Crime Across The UK.

As a surgeon warns of a summer of carnage from knife stabbings due to the fact that the British knife crime is now spreading from cities to the Home Counties, The Sun Online takes a look at the harrowing statistics…

Knife crime in Britain is on the rise

How many stabbings took place in London and other regions in the UK over the last year?

At least 37 people have been fatally stabbed – and 62 overall killed – in London since the beginning of the year.

Met Police records show 37, 443 recorded knife offences and 6,694 recorded gun offences across the UK in the year up to September 2017.

In London, the problem was even more pronounced than the rest of the country, with 12,980 knife crimes taking place in the capital – 2,452 more than the equivalent year.

Four teenagers were stabbed to death in London on New Year’s Eve alone, and 22 were killed in March – meaning the capital now has a higher murder rate than New York

The popular US city had a mere 21 killings in comparison.

Commander Neil Jerome of the Met’s territorial policing command condemned the crimes, saying the four families had lost a loved one to “senseless violence and the callous use of knives as lethal weapons”.
