The latest edition of Channel 5’s Celebrity Big Brother was kicked off on Tuesday night, with this year’s eclectic line up strutting their way into the famous house.

The line up includes Former TOWIE star Gemma Collins who was the first to be greeted by host Emma Willis t the Elstree compound, Headache-inducing: The living room features a clash of colours, fabrics and styles in a bid for boldness

Strictly Come Dancing pro Kristina Rihanoff , EastEnders star John Partridge, famous for playing Christian Clarke, Danniella Westbrook – who played Sam Mitchell on the hit BBC soap for two decades, US reality star Tiffany Pollard, musicals star Darren Day,  and Ex On The Beach star Megan McKenna.

Other celebrities who checked into the house are Winston McKenzie, who has been affiliated with several political parties including the Conservatives, Labour and the Liberal Democrats and was most recently a member of UK,  David Gest, who previously appeared on I’m A Celebrity, and  who was once married to Liza Minnell,  Jonathan Cheban, who is best known as Kim Kardashian’s best friend, Angie Bowie famed for being married to rock legend David Bowie, Hollyoaks star Stephanie Davis, who was sacked from the Channel 4 soap last year,  and Nancy Dell’Olio  the raven-haired Italian best known for her relationship with Sven-Göran Eriksson in the early noughties.

The Hertfordshire-based surveillance house has undergone as dramatic make-over in anticipation of the forthcoming series.

Despite being locked away for weeks without contact with the outside world, the contestants will at least be living in plush surroundings, once Big Brother treats them to some luxuries. However, if all the other series are anything to go by, it will be anything but a comfortable experience for whoever agrees to dwell in the infamous abode. But is it too good to be true? Big Brother may have set the scene of a decadent, antiquated world, but there is also the suggestion of a grittier underworld

The last season ended in police intervention after reality TV’s Farrah Abraham, 24, struck ‘Allo ‘Allo actress Vicki Michelle on the head with a champagne glass.

The incident happened in September during the Bit On The Side panel show in September and resulted in the actress being taken to hospital.

The incident took place after Aisleyne and Farrah had been arguing during the show over who had ‘anger issues’.
