TRUMP TOLD TO STOP USING ADELE’S SONG AT HIS RALLIES

American Presidential campaign

Donald Trump’s political campaign has been dealt a blow as there is one endorsement he has yet to secure: the right to use Adele’s music.

The property tycoon and TV personality has reportedly been using the British star’s songs during his bid for the American presidency.

Republican candidate Trump, whose slogan is “Make America great again”, is said to have been playing Adele’s hit Rolling In The Deep as “warm-up” music.

“Adele has not given permission for her music to be used for any political campaigning,” her spokesman confirmed.

Fans expressed their disdain on Twitter, with one writing she was “offended on Adele’s behalf”, while another questioned: “Does @Adele know that Donald Trump plays her songs at his rallies? I have a feeling she would not be pleased.”

Trump came on stage to the hit song during a rally held in Lexington, South Carolina, prompting BBC’s North America Editor Jon Sopel to comment on Twitter that it was an “unlikely combo”.

Trump is believed to be a fan of the Hello singer’s work and attended her concert in New York previously.

The controversial White House hopeful faced a backlash last year when Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler forced him to stop using the song Dream On during campaigning.
