The UK Home Office has confirmed that 50 Nigerians were returned to the country this morning as part of the government’s plan to remove 29000 Nigerians staying illegally in the country.
The office which oversees immigration and travel in the UK, stated “we can confirm approximately 50 people were returned to Nigeria on a flight which arrived today.” The representative added that 500 deportees earlier reported by the BBC was “extremely high” and ultimately untrue.
The Home Office spokesman said in a written statement that “those with no right to be in the UK should return home. We expect people to leave the country voluntarily but, where they do not, Immigration Enforcement will seek to enforce their departure.”
The Spokesperson for the Nigerian Immigration Services (NIS), Ekpedeme King, stated that the 46 Nigerians were deported due to immigration related offenses. He also stated that 4 were deported on issues unrelated to the alleged plans by the UK government to deport 29,000 Nigerians.

Hello Baronessj what you are saying is all true. We Nigeria we easilly forget where we are coming from. Our life is like a Yoruba adage which says (omuti gbagbe ise, odakeregbe bori) we easilly forget the son of whom we are.
But , the only thing we lack is having community which is affecting us. May be this will be Checking us and drawing us back in doing bad thing. Sometimes I am not happy associating with my people. I am Yoruba man from Ibadan and I am proud of it. We don’t sheer information , we beef each other etc. Asian has a community and they are doing grt in this country. Some of them has no paper but u hardly no.
I remember a Nigeria lawyer that I am using regarding my paper . He lie to me and wested my money and time.sometime is not some people’s fault staying for long without regularise there stay on time. Information is powerful, when they don’t see people to put them true things will go wrong.
