A man in his 60s has died after suffering a cardiac arrest on a building site in Woolwich earlier today.
Police, paramedics, firefighters and London’s Air Ambulance were all called to the site near Connaught Road and Brookhill Road at around 3.30pm.
A spokesman for the London Ambulance Service said the patient was pronounced dead, despite attempts to save him by paramedics.
He said: “We sent a number of resources to the scene including London’s Air Ambulance, arriving within five minutes.
“We treated a man reported to be his sixties in cardiac arrest.
“Sadly, despite extensive efforts to resuscitate the patient, he was pronounced dead at the scene by the doctor from London’s Air Ambulance.”
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said officers were called to reports of a man collapsed, but the force is not treating the death as suspicious.
London Fire Brigade also attended, but were not required once they arrived.
