23 year old Sarah Jegede was last weekend in London, crowned the new Miss Africa GB
Beating 23 other stunning finalists to clinch the prestigious crown, the Social Sciences graduate from the University of Kent was a favorite with the judges, having also been awarded Best Swimwear Model Award.
The Pageant founded by Mr Dele Onabowu had over 2000 UK based ladies and young women from many African countries, apply to participate in the contest but the number was whittled down to 24.
The new Miss Africa GB was crowned by Susana Owono, her predecessor from Equatorial Guinea.

As the new queen, Sarah becomes the new Ambassador for the Pageants charity “Queens 4 A Reason “. She will also be using her tenure to create awareness for Child Education.

Later this month the new Miss Africa will be taking part in a skydive in aid of the Women’s Aid Charity supporting women victims of domestic violence. Her fundraising efforts prior to the Pageant finals on Saturday already saw her raising over £600 towards the cause.
