As human beings prone to error of judgements, misguided opinions, misconceptions and bad calls, we often find ourselves in situations where our decisions or actions have proven or have been proven to be wrong.
Some of us could be fortunate enough to realise our mistake as soon as it’s been made. Others take a while longer. Some perhaps never at all or till after it’s too late.

But in the case where we’ve been given the grace to see we’ve made a miscalculation or wrong call, it will be a bigger tragedy if we fail or refuse to fix our mistake.
It is akin to suicide when we make the realisation that we are on the wrong path, yet continue on it anyway.

One wise man once told me “Imagine you are heading for Westminster but inadvertently wait at the wrong bus stop, on the wrong side of the road and get on the bus headed to Thamesmead. But soon you realise you are travelling in the opposite direction. Would you hurriedly get off at the next available bus stop, cross the road and get on the right bus and continue your journey…..or stupidly remain on the bus taking you the completely opposite direction?”

But that is what many of us do. We realise we’ve made a grave mistake yet sit tight, do nothing and hope the situation will right itself….

A stitch in time, they say, saves nine.

A small mistake could result in a massive calamity if not promptly rectified.

A mistake left unfixed, could lead to a life destroyed…Or even lives!

So stop sitting on your hands. Get up and do something about that mistake today.

Tomorrow may be too late.
