TEENAGER STABBED IN PLUMSTEAD, SE LONDON

Detectives in Greenwich Borough are appealing for witnesses and information following a stabbing in Plumstead.

Police were called at 17:55hrs on Thursday, 27 April to Herbert Road, SE18 to reports of a man stabbed.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and found an 18-year-old man suffering stab wounds. He was taken to a south London hospital his injuries are being treated as life threatening.

Detectives from Greenwich Borough’s Gang Unit are investigating.

At this early stage it is understood the victim was involved in an altercatrion with group of thre to four youths on Herbert Road, during which he was stabbed.

All the youths at the scene then fled the area into the Barnfield Estate.

DC Andrew Payne, the officer in the case, said:

“This attack happened in broad daylight, in a busy street and I am appealing for anyone who saw anything, or who knows anything, about the attack to contact me.”
