TEENAGER STABBED IN BRIXTON THIS MORNING CRITICAL IN HOSPITAL

There has been a stabbing in Brixton, London which left a teenager critically injured in hospital.

Officers from the Trident and Area Crime Command and Lambeth Borough attended a residential property in Lambeth this morning, Friday, 30 December, and arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder.

He was taken to a south London police station where he remains in custody.

On Tuesday, 27 December, police were called at around 18:15hrs to reports of a man suffering stab wounds in Rushcroft Road, at the junction with Windrush Square, Brixton, SW2.

Officers attended and found an 18-year-old man with serious injuries. He remains in a critical condition in hospital.

Detectives continue to appeal for witnesses and anyone with information about this incident to come forward.

It is believed the victim was riding his bicycle near the junction of Rushcroft Road when he was knocked over by a vehicle.

A number of males were in the car – a grey Ford Focus. It is believed that the occupants pursued the victim into Windrush Square where he was further attacked. The car was left at the scene.
